Check out Best Recipes to Try This Fall
It’s the most wonderful time of the year–the time when fall recipes reign supreme. As soon as the temperatures start to drop, all of the best dishes are ready to be served. There’s something very comforting about testing and sharing fall recipes. Maybe it’s the natural inclination to hunker down and hibernate on cooler days, hang out with loved ones or just fill your stomach with something warm. It’s also a great time to experiment with new recipes thanks to the parties and gatherings that begin as soon as Halloween threatens its arrival. That being said, it’s time to share a few fall recipes you must try this season.
Everyone has a favorite item that pops up during the course of the year. Many people scream about pumpkin once October comes, and yes, there are two great pumpkin recipes in this collection. Sugar and Spice Pumpkin Oat Muffins and Green Curry Pumpkin Soup were two creations that were very popular with friends. Let’s be real though. There are a number of other delicious ingredients you’ll find around this time of year, and my number one favorite is the sweet potatoes. Try Roasted Sweet Potato and Swiss Chard Salad, studded with dried fruit and almonds, or a Lamb and Sweet Potato Pot Pie with a herbed crust. They’re both excellent choices for the season.
Most people think about baked goods during the fall, and if you’re on that wave length, kudos to you! If you’re making chili, soups or stews this season, pair them with Caramelized Onion and Scallion Cornbread. There’s bacon grease in the recipe, so you know it’s good. If you prefer something sweet, there’s Brown Butter and Ginger Banana Bread, which is delightfully nutty, sweet and spiced. The same goes for a batch of perfect oatmeal cookies that are also made with brown butter, fresh ginger, a bit of cinnamon, plus a few add-ins that really make them addictive.
