It’s time to share our first Guest Test Kitchen of the year. This one comes from our friend, Lillani, and an old co-worker of Amir’s. Lani has always been a conscious eater. From her very first introduction, she’s maintained a “vegetarian-ish” diet by avoiding most, but not all, meat products. Now it seems, though, that she’s fully crossed over and sticks to a more strict vegetarian diet. She shares with us an easy veggie burger recipe that’s sure to win over even the most avid meat eater. Pimento Mac and Cheese

Everyone. Meet Ralphie. Ralphie. Meet everyone! He is a wonderful friend who turns up to most of our meal gatherings, and he never arrives empty handed. Whether it’s a tower of roasted brussels sprouts and grapes, or a peach and blueberry upside down cake (always casually thrown together by the way), Ralphie makes every entrance with a beautifully decorated platter of something amazing in hand. It was just a matter of time until it was his turn to share in our monthly Guest Test Kitchen section. We hope you enjoy this edition. We know you’re gonna love him as much as we do!

Zucchini Cakes with Pesto Yogurt Dip

The convenience of finding a packaged product that you love is a beautiful food find. When we went to the Saban Free Clinic’s Extravaganza for the Senses in July, we were both gifted with a package of pesto from Maison Le Grand. That was after we’d gobbled up a few of the samples. The dairy-free, bright green pesto–named the garden pesto–was like a bite of pure herbs and lemon. So fresh. So vibrant. We really did love this pesto and knew immediately that we’d want to use it very soon. Cut to September. You’re probably thinking a month and a half is not quite ‘soon’, but we actually did make first use of it towards the end of July. We’re just slow to share. Hopefully, that’s OK. Just a couple of squeezes perked up a tangy dip for one of our most used veggies–zucchini.
