A New Chef And New Attitude For La Poubelle

I am something of a francophone, at least to the best of my abilities. Amir knows I studied French for years. I’ve been to Paris. I belong to a couple of extracurricular French groups here in the city. I also love a beautiful French movie and own a collection of mix CDs with songs I’ll never fully understand but can hum all day. Oh, and let’s not forget the food, shall we? We were invited to sample the menu at La Poubelle Bistro, which remains one of the longer running restaurants in Los Angeles. That in itself is a feat if you know anything about the food scene here. We were more than happy to accept the offer and settled into a dinner that proved its worth.a

BoHo Restaurant Debuts New Sunday Brunch

Back in May, we were invited to visit the newly renovated BoHo gastropub in Hollywood. We loved this place! From gourmet pizzas and sensational burgers to near-perfect fish and chips, BoHo offers an array of wonderful, snazzy bar food each day of the week. Perched at the top of the famous entertainment and shopping complex Hollywood & Highland, this pub also wowed us with its extensive beer list and a laid-back, chill atmosphere. Oh, and we hear they have a great happy hour! Recently, we were luckily enough to be tapped again for a tasting at BoHo. This time, it was to experience the new Sunday brunch menu that had only been up for grabs for a couple of months. Nothing beats a weekend breakfast, and we were down to sample the morning offerings.

BoHo: Hollywood's Newly Renovated Gastropub

Not too long ago, we were invited to visit the newly renovated gastropub, BoHo. Previously stationed on Sunset Boulevard, the restaurant had just completed extensive changes, including a move to the always busy Hollywood & Highland center. Of course, we were down for a visit to see the new place and also taste a few of the dishes on the menu. We chose a midweek date and arrived ready to grub. With much more space in which to spread its wings, so to speak, in the H&H complex, there was no doubt we were in for a treat.
